Description
“On the 24th May 1948, Agnes Arber became the first woman to receive the Gold Medal of the Linnean Society, a world-famous institution dedicated to the study of natural history. Born in 1879, Arber achieved excellent academic results throughout her youth, and soon became a historian of botany under the wing of her mentor, plant morphologist Ethel Sargent. By the time of her death in 1960, Arber had published an extensive library of books on both botany and philosophy.
It is with an appreciation for Arber’s work that we have produced this convergence of nine botanicals distilled together. The savoury, earthy notes of juniper, coriander and angelica are complimented by the warm, spicy undertones of cassia; sweet, acidic flavours of lemon, orange and grapefruit combine with a twist of liquorice.”
